Abstract

Neutrosophy is a branch of philosophy which studies the origin, nature, and scope of neutralities. It forms the basis for neutrosophic numbers and neutrosophic logic. Neutrosophic numbers generalize neutrosophic sets; hence, these numbers are widely used to deal with situations involving neutralities. Triangular and trapezoidal numbers are often used to simplify computation and to obtain results which are easily interpreted and implemented. In this chapter, Interval-Valued Trapezoidal Neutrosophic Numbers (IVTpNN) are introduced for Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS). Further, a simple case of classification of athletes in Paralympics is represented. The weights of criteria are represented using interval-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic numbers and the ranking of the best sport class is obtained using WASPAS-IVTpNN.
