Abstract

The role of structure-energy properties of the mechanically induced defects of the crystal structure of heterogeneous catalysts is considered here. The main concepts of the effect of mechanochemical activation on the activity and selectivity of catalysts are theoretically stated. The most promising research trends are presented. © 2009 Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation.
