Abstract

With the rapid development of wireless technologies, many advanced wireless devices will be blended into industry control family. Three hot short-range wireless technologies are compared together and then ZigBee is selected out of them as implementation supportive technology of wireless industrial network. The overall system constitute of wireless sensor network is summarized, and under ARM11 hardware platform, which is with low price and easy to be developed on, hardware and software designs of sensor nodes and gateways are analyzed according to the design requirements. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
