Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to examine the extent to which the chapters contained within this book, and the work of the wider ICT, disability and Higher Education community, has developed new ways of thinking and framing the issue of poor ICT-related accessibility practice. In order to do this, five different ‘futures thinking’ lenses: present futures, questioning, probable futures, possible futures and preferable futures will be applied. This chapter will also consider whether adopting methods from the ‘future thinking’ field can resolve tensions in the ICT, disability and Higher Education field.
