Magnetic properties of intermetallic compound Er2 Fe14B and its hydrides Er2Fe14BHx have been investigated. Measurements of the temperature dependencies of magnetization have been performed with the permanent control of the hydrogen content in the investigated samples. The dependencies of Curie (TC) and spinreorientation transition (TSR) temperatures on the hydrogen pressure and concentration of the inserted hydrogen atoms in the crystal lattice have been determined. Reasoning from the experimental data for TSR, TC and exchange parameters, the crystal field parameters and their change with the concentration of the inserted hydrogen atoms have been calculated. © 2007 Springer.
