Abstract

During the last few years, the study of topological quantum fluids has emerged. Examples of topological quantum fluids include the Hall fluids, the spiral spin fluid, and the anion superfluid. This paper focuses on Hall fluid discussing its effective field theory approach. The quantum Hall system can be described as a bunch of electrons moving in a plane in the presence of an external magnetic field B perpendicular to the plane. The magnetic field is assumed to be sufficiently strong so that the spin of the electrons may be completely polarized.
