Abstract

Reports the occurrence of immature, mainly marine source, organic-carbon rich black shales of Albian to early Santonian and a major deep-sea fan sequence of Santonian to early Campanian age which was replaced by shallower facies. Paleogeographic, sediment source areas, sedimentation mechanism and rates, and biostratigraphic data are summarised.-after Authors
