Abstract

It is an innovative concept used to eliminate power shutdown to consumers due to increase in power demand. Our proposed project is to distribute the available power proportionally to all consumers thus reducing total power shutdown, where we develop two area concepts, which are two independent power consumers. A GSM system is used where signals are transferred between the user and the distribution station. Whenever power demand increases, the partial shutdown system is implemented and thus power usage to the consumers is limited. This limit is fixed based on the basic power necessity of the consumer. Also, in our project the power used by the consumer is automatically calculated and the corresponding amount for the power used is calculated and sent to the consumer mobile number as a text message.
