Abstract

We observe time-domain coherent vibrational wavepackets at 1585-cm-1 frequency (21-fs period) using broadband probe pulses strongly chirped up to 150-fs duration. The results are explained using the chronocyclic (Wigner) representation of the chirped pulse.
