Abstract

Abstract: Political blogs are online journals published by individuals, groups, and organizations to communicate, and usually facilitate discussion on, their political viewpoints. Blogs' impact on political communication is relevant in at least two domains: the flow of political information and the promotion and organization of political action. Political blogs are an integral part of contemporary hybrid media systems and share many functions and affordances with social media, although they maintain their distinctive features as a specific genre.
