Abstract

Foreign body ingestions are common in children. Most foreign bodies are passed spontaneously through the gastrointestinal tract. Rarely, they can cause morbidity or even mortality in situations such as magnetic foreign body ingestion. Complications and treatment of foreign body ingestion can vary depending on the anatomical location of the ingested object or material.
