Abstract

A miniaturized wearable Planar Inverted-F antenna is presented. Miniaturization is achieved by adopting a Minkowski fractal-shaped radiating element instead of the usual polygonal shape. The designed antenna is resonant at a frequency equal to 2.4 GHz and suitable for wearable applications. Simulation results show excellent return loss (~40 dB) and over 18% impedance bandwidth.
