Abstract

Because of the shortage of high pure silicon and the development of manufacturing solar grade silicon in a metallurgical process route, we applied a reliable industrial process on 12.5×12.5 cm2 wafers from solar grade silicon feedstock in metallurgical process (SoG-Si) and analyzed the difference of solar cells manufactured in conventional process from electronic grade silicon (EG-Si) and SoG-Si. The electrical performance between them was compared. We had tested samples in many aspects in order to master the specialty of this feedstock and the production technology.
