Abstract

This paper describes the story and treatment of D, a veteran who was diagnosed as suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to events which occurred during his service in Vietnam. The treatment described is group dance/movement therapy on a short-term psychiatric unit. The issues addressed were anger, mistrust, and problems with intimacy and letting go. © 1987 American Dance Therapy Association, Inc.
