Abstract

In addition to the oral and parenteral use of benzodiazepine derivatives, there is also need for their rectal administration. Due to shortage of space, the extensive in vitro and in vivo examination of diazepam and nitrazepam cannot be detailed now (see References). Both pharmacons proved to be analogous in character, thus it is similarly possible to formulate them in rectal suppositories.
