Disposición a pagar por el sistema de recolección de los residuos sólidos domésticos en la ciudad de Juliaca, 2019

Abstract

The present study study aims to estimate the economic value that the population is willing to pay to improve the system of collection of domestic solid waste in the city of Juliaca, in the year 2019. Applying the method of contingent valuation, and the econometric model binomial Probit, which helped in the present study. The data source comes from the application of surveys to 382 households in the city of Juliaca. Therefore, the following results are available: the average availability to pay for an improvement in the system of collection of solid domestic waste is S / 5.36 soles per month, where 52.88% of the people surveyed are willing to pay. Likewise, the factors that influence this decision are: years of education, environmental ethics and environmental awareness of the population of Juliaca.
