Abstract

Turbulence is a complex manifestation of collective plasma behaviour. An introduction to turbulence with particular emphasis on magnetized plasmas is given. This chapter discusses the theoretical background to a leading edge topic in modern plasma physics – it is understood to accompany the section on experimental transport studies (Chap. 9 in Part II).
