Abstract

To achieve high sports results it is important to determine the individual structure of athlete preparedness. Information about specific preparedness of short distance runner may be a tool of training management and individualization. The transience of sprint competitive activity actualizes the use of support technologies for the search of informative criteria. Nine male short distance runners aged 17–22 were recruited for the study. Along with the pedagogical tests (vertical jumps and 30 m running) modern measurement equipment and software (“Neurosoft” (Ivanovo, Russia), the MED BIKE ergometer (Technogym, Italy) and Cardio Memory software V 1.0 SP3) were used to obtain data on various indicators of specific preparedness of sprinters. The study of individual characteristics of advanced short distance runners revealed significant differences in the structure of specific preparedness among athletes. Evaluation of the relationship between objective indicators of the psychophysiological, functional and morphological properties of athletes and results of competitive activity was the basis for establishing the criteria of training individualization of short distance runners.
