Abstract

Geochemical constraints on the thermal brine genesis of the Wulagen Pb-Zn deposit in Xinjiang, have been investigated by examining fluid inclusions, physicochemical conditions such as temperature, pressure, alkalinity-acidity, salinity, REE compositions, an Pb isotopes. A comparative study was also carried out between the Wulagen and Jinding deposits in terms of REE patterns, Pb and S isotopes, and model ages of Pb isotopes (Doe, 1974). This study lends support to the thermal brine genesis of the Wulagen deposit.
