Abstract

The article presents the author's discussion concerning the relationship between the history of utopian and travel writing. It examines the connection between travel and utopia as well as explores the special case of the traveler to utopia. Furthermore, it focuses on how some utopian writers manages travels to and from utopia particularly those from the period 1500-1800. Moreover, arguments on the view of the relationship between travel writing and utopian literature that further troubles both histories is presented.
