Abstract

The observations using real media make it easier for students to understand invertebrate material. Examples of media that could be used on objects of living things classification were preservation. Preserved media provided conceptual and theoretical learning experiences because they were presented in detail and in real terms. This wet-preserved learning media can only be used in the face-to-face learning process; therefore, we needed a technology that could be used by students for the observation process during the online learning process in Covid-19 pandemic. The technology was learning media based on a mobile application Android equipped with augmented reality technology that was able to model cells in 3D that is closer to their original form, so the students can observe the details of the cell parts and interact significantly with 3D cell objects. The purpose of this study was to develop a wet-preserved learning media based on mobile application integrated augmented reality that is suitable for use on invertebrate sub-materials, whether used for face-to-face learning or online learning. The research model carried out was the research model from Lee & Owens with the stages: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The results showed that the development product was very suitable to use, seen from the percentage of material expert validation tests that was 99% and the percentage of media expert validation tests was 96%. In addition, this product also categorized as very good to use, seen from the percentage of readability tests by science teachers and students respectively 86% and 89%.
