Abstract

discuss posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which results from anomalous traumatic experiences / in anomalous trauma, the stressor event or experience is typically hidden, hard to detect, ephemeral, ineffable, and not easily verifiable by conventional scientific methods of assessment take a cautious and conservative approach to therapeutic intervention and clinical conceptualization of experienced anomalous trauma / suggest that the proper use of hypnosis is especially valuable in uncovering the previously "hidden" traumatic event (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2015 APA, all rights reserved).
