Abstract

The goal of this chapter is to assist the cardiac care of a patient undergoing orthopedic surgery. The chapter discusses commonly encountered cardiac conditions and their management in the perioperative setting. A discussion of the more commonly encountered cardiac complications of orthopedic surgery is also included.
