Abstract

In this paper we present an evaluation of an adaptive annotation technique (the use of icons to help the user in the selection of the most relevant suggested item), using the Grounded Theory methodology. The goal of the evaluation was to find out the best icon in order to communicate the system recommendations in the most effective way. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2005.
