Abstract

Current SmartTV and IPTV service are similar and both of them have content platform concept which makes user can access various contents from various service providers. But, services and service resources are mutually independent and exclusive. This paper defines roles, compositions for QoS-assured convergence service overlay system and proposes a open service platform which supports open characteristic and various convergences of services to overcome the problem (mutually independent and exclusive) of current systems. This paper also introduces case studies of convergence services working in open service platform.
