Abstract

The purpose of this paper is therefore to report the results of initial thermal, morphological and mechanical studies conducted on blends of liquid crystalline polymers (60 mole % PHB-40 mole % PET) with PET. These two resins were blended using a solution casting technique, mechanically mixing in the melt and, by injection molding. The resulting solid materials were then analyzed with respect to their thermal and structural characteristics.
