Abstract

Infectious, inflammatory, and other optic neuropathies encompass a large spectrum of conditions. Many of these diseases have systemic and non-ocular manifestations. It is, therefore, important to approach any optic neuropathy systematically. This involves a thorough and detailed history, comprehensive neuro-ophthalmic examination, and focused investigations.
