Cliticization in European Portuguese (EP) is unique amongst other Romance languages. While preverbal and postverbal placement of clitics is common, it is defined by the finiteness of the verb. In EP, however, the clitic placement does not depend on the verb, but on the context surrounding it. In this paper, we present an operational construction grammar model for parsing and production of proclitic contexts.
