Abstract

QoS is important to the adoption of Grid Technologies. Grid Computing makes it possible for users to participate in distributed applications requiring data to be stored and delivered in timely manner. Users may wish to have control over Quality of Service (QoS) so that data is transferred on time in a distributed environment. Large scale Grids is composed of huge number of components from different sites and this requires efficient workflow management and Quality of Service (QoS).All the important components of this framework, integrated services and how workflows are managed with QoS are covered in this paper. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
