Cadê o Asfalto? Atos de Governo e Crônica Política

Abstract

A política no Recanto das Emas é vivida através de experiências concretas. Assim sendo, a partir da etnografia de um evento – a assinatura do asfalto – recuperamos uma associação nativa entre o governo atual e a pavimentação da cidade. Para os adeptos do atual governador, a poeira e a lama, que estigmatizam a cidade e sua população, evocam o governo passado. No presente texto procuro explorar essa vinculação entre asfalto e azuis (cor-ícone que remete à figura do atual governador) e entre poeira ou lama e vermelhos (atributo derrogatório, construído pelos azuis, para alcunhar a oposição). Um desdobramento dessa analogia, evidenciamos no caráter interminável das obras estatais (como a pavimentação, por exemplo), onde as inaugurações servem para que o governador materialize seus feitos ante seus adeptos, desfraldando a bandeira azul face a seus inimigos preferenciais. Abstract Politics is a living experience in Recanto das Emas, a satellite-city around Brasilia. The pavement that arrives now to the city is a symbol concerned both to the inhabitants and the local politicians. An especial event helps us recover the native association between the governor and the asphalt. The governor’s supporters link the swamp and the dust to the former government, named pejoratively as “the red”. At the same token, the pavement is associated with the blue – a trademark built by the present governor. Perpetuating that association (between the color red ant the past administration and the today’s government and the color blue), the governor has found a magic formula: every day, during an inauguration, he materializes his deeds, showing to his followers the efficacy of the blue power against the red one.
