Abstract

.1305 Preamble This document is an American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) health policy statement and is intended to promote or advocate a position, be informational in nature, and offer guidance to the stakeholder community regarding the ACCF's stance on healthcare policies and programs. To avoid actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may arise as a result of industry relationships or personal interests among the writing committee, all members of the writing committee, as well as peer reviewers of the document, are asked to disclose all current healthcare-related relationships, including those existing 12 months before initiation of the writing effort. The AHA Science Advisory and Coordinating Committee and the ACCF Board of Trustees reviewed the document, including all peer review comments and writing committee responses, and approved the document in May and June 2011, respectively.
