Abstract

The authors discuss some important issues for educators to consider when designing online learning assessment tools. The four common types of online learning assessment tools include comprehensive, discussion boards, reflection-focused, and project-based learning. It is said that open tests should include a policy that states that students cannot share answers or questions with others. Exemplary assessments are said to be formative and summative and guide students via their educational journey.
