Abstract

The aim of this article was to analyze the Brazilian application results of the Brief Intervention for adolescents' drug abusers, with sessions for the parents. We present the case of 16 years old boy with daily alcohol consumption. The adolescent was assessed before and after treatment to test his motivation for the treatment. The results show that the parents' participation was very significant for the adolescent's motivation improvement to make changes in his behavior and his alcohol consume.
