Arthritis and mental wellbeing 4 in 5 (79%) feel anxious or depressed because of their arthritis 89% 58% struggle with daily activities like washing, dressing or making meals worry about how arthritis will affect their future independence feel isolated or lonely because of their arthritis Nearly half (47%) have lost contact with friends 43% feel able to manage their arthritis well Half (50%) Only Arthritis Care surveyed over 3,000 people with arthritis This is what they told us about what it is like to live with arthritis in 2017 have given up activities they enjoy 4i n5 (80%)
