The purposed of this study was to describe the process of learning about the use of open task with Scaffolding to enhance the understanding on " Integer material " of elementary student teachers at the Kanjuruhan University of Malang. The approach taken in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is classroom action research. Based on the assessment process and assessment of learning outcomes for each action taken, it can be seen that the study carried out using an open task with Scaffolding can improve the understanding of integer material for students PGSD Kanjuruhan University of Malang.Based on these results the researchers suggest to lecturers who want to use open questions with Scaffolding need to increase motivation by giving a discourse that guide students in completing the task.
