Adaptive services for customised knowledge delivery

Abstract

The more information is available in the Internet the more difficult to find the right information. The idea of adaptive hypermedia systems is to provide users with personalised information that depends on the users' needs and requirements. The paper presents an approach to knowledge logistics that applies such principles to the process of knowledge delivery from distributed heterogeneous sources. More attention is paid to description of an adaptive service that can modify itself based on the user tasks and implemented within the framework of the approach. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
