This paper analyzes the main characteristics of conduct disorders and their continuities from childhood to adolescence. Taking into account these parameters, the need for early identification and intervention is underlined. Different ways of intervention are analyzed, and parent training programs are proposed and analyzed as a necessary ingredient for any intervention which is aimed to deal with childhood conduct problems.
