Abstract

Subarachnoid hemorrhage is a condition defined by extravasation of blood into the subarachnoid space. In patients with nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage, the most frequent cause is the rupture of a saccular aneurysm. Non-contrast head computed tomography is the first choice for the diagnosis.
