Abstract

One important issue when judging mammograms are bilateral comparison. In this paper, some aspects on the problem of determining coordinates of points in relation to the anatomy of the breast is given. The points are expressed in anatomical coordinates, making it possible to compare mammograms without doing any geometrical transformations of the images. The method is implemented and is fully automatic. © Springer-Verlag 2003.
