Abstract

(from the chapter) Applying a multi-tier prevention framework to familysupport agencies involves understanding not only the unique featuresof that agency, but also the unique features of the families theysupport, each clearly distinct. The purposes of this chapter areto (a) identify the circumstances affecting communities and theirfamilies in crisis; (b) propose a systems-level PBS approach as amodel for family support agencies; (c) describe a systems-level PBSimplementation exemplar in a family support agency; and (d) discussimplications and future directions.
