An op-ed piece on changing ideals of masculinity and male beauty in advertising and marketing is presented. The author suggests that metrosexuality and androgyny have been replaced by a more rugged appearance. Aspects discussed include men's alleged preferences for a carnivorous over a vegetarian diet and for urinating while standing instead of sitting, as well as women's alleged superiority to men concerning parallel parking.
