Abstract

Since the laser has happened to be a very controlled and powerful tool, with an easy way to deliver the energy thanks to the optical fibers, the field of surface modification has undergone a lot of improvements. But, for the laser cladding process, because many parameters are involved in the process, small variations in the parameters lead to drastical changements in the shape and the microstructure of the track. We have presented through this article a very low cost system based on two CCD cameras, an acquisition card and a PC, which enables the operator to optimize the process
