Abstract

Reviews current treatment for torture survivors. A scientific framework for a variety of traumatized populations is discussed, and proposed clinical guidelines for particular approaches to assessment and intervention are presented. Specific intervention strategies are discussed, and an example of a community program is described. Research recommendations are provided.
