Two-dimensional (2D) materials beyond graphene have recently attracted much attention due to the potential applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices. Herein, we report the synthesis and characterization of 2D single crystalline molybdenum carbide (Mo2C) with large surface area. Conductivity properties of 2D Mo2C are measured in detail with field effect transistor. The result shows a good property with a high conductivity up to 10(4) S/m, which expects the potential application of 2D Mo2C thin film in electrochemical and catalytic electrodes.
