Abstract

The increase of food demand and followed by the declining of water resource need attention. Moreover, most of Indonesian farmer soak the rice plant during seedling process which is wasting water resource and hamper the shoot growth. Using soil moisture sensor to optimize agricultural products and save the water can carry a good irrigation management. The design sensor will be appropriate with the character of rice seedling root. To get acurate sensor, callibration processes used gravimetric method. To determine the character between soil resistance and soil moisture, Power Trendline approach was used because it is the closest approach compare to Linear, Polinomial 2nd order, Logaritmic, Exponential Trendline approach. determining the Trendline aproach. Moreover deriving the formula to get soil moisture value are discussed.
