Abstract The objective of this paper is to expor the experience as research intern within the National Program of Postdoctorate CAPES/PNPD in Brazil, where stands out a research project about the cognition of the university teacher as a catalyst of the academic mobility, within the Brazilian higher education internationalization. Some cognitive and cultural affairs were investigated in association to the academic mobility phenomenom in the university teacher, and in the frame of politics for internationalization that the Brazilian State has established for its advance in Science and Technology. There are also activities with teaching, linguistic support and knowledge production through the elaboration and submission of papers, as well as the preparation of conferences and seminars in the Postgraduation Program of Education at South Mato Grosso Federal University, the internship hosting institution. The preliminar advances of this postdoctoral experience suggest the recognition for a whole strategy of this kind, in which there are complex relations subject-institution, as well as to present categories like the mental desease, the inclusion, the integration and a migration within the cognitive schemes of the involved subjects.
