Abstract

The purpose of the article is to present a new approach of efficient and comprehensive virtual team collaboration data analysis. The original conceptual structure of the fuzzy expert system model includes hierarchical parameter structure and application of fuzzy rules that allow team performance analysis in a way that is similar to expert thinking. The parameter values used for virtual work evaluation are noted by experts and also gained from virtual collaboration logs by applying computational methods. The research results provide evidence for the feasibility of using the proposed system model as the enhancement of virtual collaboration environment for real time teamwork evaluation. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
