Abstract

Pulse Diagnosis is the most important diagnostic methods in Oriental medicine. By finger pressing to the radial artery the doctor can get information in the human body through the fingers sense of the pulse, so they may judge the patient's physiological and pathological situations. Based on the information above, in this study, researchers use the ultrasonic tomography to show the changes in deformation of vessels. By detection the deformation of arterial vessels in a cardiac cycle researchers can calculate patient's pulse wave. This detection method has good consistence with traditional methods. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
