Abstract

Munidopsis sonne new species herein described from the North Fiji Basin is the seventh species of Munidopsis associated with active thermal vents. It is related to M. hastifer Benedict, 19O2, and M. serratifrons A. Milne Edwards, 1880, in the serrate rostral lateral margins and tuberculate carapace but differentiated from these species by the presence of epipods on pereopods 1-3 and lack of distinct spines on the carapace and abdomen
