Abstract

One of the major activities of the mind is to represent. This activity establishes links between mathematics and art: only a few are briefly discussed in this chapter. They justify the presence of artistic works for cultural and educational purposes, addressed to all audiences. We present a few examples taken from the activities of a European vocation institution dedicated to these purposes.
